Wanderers secured the services of the powerful frontman on a four-year deal in June, 2024 at the end of his stay with Wrexham.

The striker spent three years on the books at Wrexham, helping the Welsh club secure back-to-back promotions to League One after signing from Southend United in August, 2022.

London-born Dalby also previously spent time at Watford and Leeds United after starting out with local club Leyton Orient.

But it was a superb stint in the Scottish Premiership with Dundee United that put him more firmly on Wanderers’ radar as they looked for a figure to lead their forward line.

The ‘number nine’ bagged 15 league goals during a season-long loan in 2024/25 to help The Terrors finish fourth in the Scottish top flight and qualify for European football as he made a huge impact at Tannardice.
