Wanderers landed the midfielder from Hull City after paying an disclosed fee for the former England U20 international in June, 2025.

The 22-year-old agreed a four-year deal with the Whites after ending the previous campaign on loan at Wycombe Wanderers.

The former Chelsea youngster helped Wycombe reach the League One play-offs and will add an extra ingredient to Wanderers’ as an all-round central midfield player.

Simons made over 30 Championship appearances for Hull, having turned a loan move from Chelsea into a permanent switch to the Tigers in July, 2023 and also has loan experience from a loan spell at Fleetwood Town on his CV.
