Wanderers swooped to sign the highly-regarded young Chelsea goalkeeper on a season-long loan for the 2025/26 campaign.

Having let three goalkeepers move on ahead of his first full season in charge, boss Steven Schumacher identified Sharman-Lowe as one of the men to fill the void and potentially claim the number-one jersey.

The Leicester-born keeper linked up with the Whites after helping England’s U21s retain their European title as part of the successful squad in Slovakia.

He also signed a new contract at Chelsea to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge 2028 ahead of the move to Wanderers to further his first-team experience.

The former Burton Albion youngster previously had loan spells back at Burton, Havant and Waterlooville and Bromley before spending the 2024/25 season at Doncaster Rovers, where he was an ever-present in Rovers’ League Two title-winning campaign.
