Thomason helped Wanderers win promotion from League Two in 2021 and was named as the club's Young Player of the Year. Further flourishing in League One, the central midfield man gradually increased in stature to attract approaches from a couple of Championship sides.
The central midfield player rebuffed that interest to confirm his commitment to Wanderers with a new four-year deal in 2023 and was rewarded with the captaincy during the 2024/25 season which also saw him win the Whites’ goal-of-the-season award for a stunning strike against Blackpool.
