Bolton Wanderers Women is delighted to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Sanah Mehdi ahead of the new season.

The Pakistan Women's international joins Wanderers after a successful period on trial during pre-season, scoring twice in the victory over Salford City Lionesses in an impressive display.

Sanah started her career in the youth teams at Burnley, before moving into senior football with Accrington Stanley.

In her two years at Stanley, Sanah proved to be a threat at the top end of the field, with her love for scoring and assisting being a huge part of her game.

Sanah then moved to Chorley for the next stage of her career before time spent with Curzon Ashton in tier five last season.

As well as this, Sanah made her international debut for Pakistan in 2024 when facing India in the South Asian Football Federation Championships, before further caps followed to establish herself as an international footballer for her country.

Sanah will now officially link up with her teammates as Myles Smith’s side get set to take on Darwen on Sunday afternoon.

On signing for the club, Sanah Mehdi said: “I’m feeling really good and excited about joining.

“Having spoken about the ambitions of the club, and the values they hold, I’m really happy to be a part of it.

“Having been in on trial, I already know that it’s a great group of girls, and a good coaching team, so I’m looking forward to officially getting started now.”

Myles Smith, Women’s Manager, said: “Sanah has been brilliant since she walked through the door on trial and we are delighted to officially welcome her to the club.

“She is an attack-minded player, who loves to get on the ball, and someone who can offer us fierce competition at the top end of the field.

“With the season around the corner, and with Sanah having been around the group on trial, we are hoping - and excited to see - what she can produce for us this season. Welcome, Sanah!”
