Bolton Wanderers Women is delighted to announce the signing of Heidi Clark ahead of the season getting underway this weekend.

The former Blackburn defender joins Wanderers after a successful spell on trial with the club during pre-season, impressing the club’s coaching staff to link up with the rest of the squad for the upcoming campaign.

A captain during her time in Rovers’ pathway, emphasising her qualities both on and off-the-pitch, Heidi arrives at the Whites having won the Player of the Year award last season at Rovers in the youth setup.

Now officially signed up as a Wanderer, Heidi goes straight into contention for this Sunday’s trip to Darwen as the club looks to kickstart their season in positive fashion.

Heidi Clark on joining Wanderers, said: “I can’t wait to get started.

"What the club wants to achieve with this team is great. I’ve been around the club for a few weeks and the group we have here is amazing.

“I think the environment is so professional and the way in which Myles and the coaching staff have spoken about the ambition of the club, it’s very exciting for me as a player.

“What the girls achieved last season and the progress they have already made is great and it makes me want to be part of it.”

Myles Smith, Women’s Team Manager, said: “I am delighted to officially welcome Heidi to the club.

“She has been in and around the group for a number of weeks during pre-season, and we have been incredibly impressed with not only her ability on the field, but the way in which she conducts herself and her character off-the-pitch as well.

“She is a resolute defender with huge potential to grow during her time with us, and we can’t wait to see what she can produce in Bolton shirt. Welcome, Heidi!”
