Women | Annabelle White Returns!

Bolton Wanderers Women is delighted to announce the signing of Annabelle White, returning to the club on a permanent basis following an outstanding spell on dual-registration last season.

Part of the 2024/25 double-winning squad as the club’s number one, the Wanderers’ season ticket holder joined the club as a player back in August 2024 on dual-registration from Blackburn Rovers.

Becoming a mainstay between the posts, White helped Wanderers to 11 clean sheets in all competitions last season, making 21 appearances whilst forming an incredibly solid base with the Whites’ backline.

The highly-talented ‘keeper has spent the last three seasons with Blackburn Rovers - working her way up the pathway to train with Rovers’ first team squad last season, in combination with her duties at Wanderers.

As a lifelong supporter of the club, Annabelle returns on a permanent basis looking to help Wanderers get set to take on Tier 5 of the Women’s pyramid following promotion last season.

Annabelle White said: “I’m delighted to be here. This means a lot to me, especially being a Bolton fan.

“I’ve been a season ticket holder since I was six-years old, so to sign for my club and then play on the pitch in front of over 2,000 fans to win the league was incredible. It’s memories that will last forever and I want more of it.

“The ambition the club has shown in wanting to progress and move through the tiers is exciting, and I want to be part of it. We have a good group of players and staff here, we’re driving each other forward and I can’t wait to get going again.”

Myles Smith, Wanderers Women's Manager, said: “We are thrilled to bring Annabelle back to the club.

“Not only is she a superb goalkeeper with the potential to grow and develop, as we saw throughout last season whilst on dual-registration, but she is also a brilliant person and the type of character we want within our team moving into this campaign.

“She is Bolton through and through, she cares about this club and the town, and we are delighted to have her back in Wanderers colours ahead of the new season.”
