Bolton Wanderers are delighted to confirm that Victory Park, the stadium of Chorley FC, will be the home of the Women’s team for the 2025/26 campaign.
The move for the upcoming season is the next progressive milestone in the journey of Wanderers Women, as they get set to make the step into Tier 5 of the pyramid following their double-winning success last season.
Myles Smith’s side are no strangers to Victory Park, having staged three fixtures there during last season - holding an unbeaten record (two wins, one draw) and scoring 13 goals against Tranmere Rovers, Preston North End and Accrington Stanley in both league and cup.
The move for the 2025/26 campaign also offers the club to opportunity to potentially add to their matchday experience, helping to build on the outstanding support already seen throughout last season.
Myles Smith, Women’s Team Manager, said: “Firstly, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved at Atherton Collieries for their support in our first year under club operations.
“Paul Gregory and the outstanding group of volunteers down at Colls welcomed us with open arms from minute one and have been superb hosts for us in what was a historic first season. For that, we are immensely grateful.
“Therefore, this was a decision we did not take lightly and we conducted a thorough process in assessing all available options to us as a result.
“The move to Chorley presents the Women’s team with several growth opportunities - both on and off-the-field - with the playing group and supporters placed at the forefront of this decision.
“Having worked with Chorley on a number of occasions last season, we already have a fantastic relationship in place, as we look to turn Victory Park into a fortress for us this season.
“It is a place with huge potential for us to continue building, and we look forward to welcoming our outstanding fans - as well as hopefully many new supporters - to Chorley next season.”
Terry Robinson, Chief Executive Officer of Chorley FC, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Bolton Wanderers Women back to Victory Park for the upcoming season. The professionalism, ambition, and quality they bring is a credit to their club and to the wider women’s game.
"Our experience working with them last season was extremely positive and we’re proud to provide a platform where they can continue their growth. We look forward to building on our relationship and sharing another exciting year of football together.”
Further details regarding Wanderers Women’s move to Victory Park, and the 2025/26 season, will be communicated in due course.
