Wanderers’ goalkeeper Luke Hutchinson has joined National League side Altrincham on a season-long loan.
Academy graduate Hutchinson last month signed a new two-year deal with the Whites to continue his development with Wanderers.
And the next phase of that will be via a loan spell with Altrincham and the chance to play regular first-team football at a level one division below the EFL. The Robins finished ninth in the National League last season – two places outside the play-offs.
Hutchinson, 22, had experience of National League North last season during a second loan stay with Marine and after making a senior debut for Wanderers in an EFL Trophy tie in October, 2024 played one game in League One as an emergency loan signing by Crawley Town in April.
Wanderers have signed England U21 goalkeeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe on a season-long loan from Chelsea this summer and are looking to further strengthen the goalkeeping department before the season starts.
