Wanderers are back in business with the players reporting for the start of pre-season training.
Boss Steven Schumacher welcomed his squad back to Lostock today to begin the build-up to the 2025/26 campaign.
All the Whites’ senior players – bar the international trio of Josh Sheehan, Luke Southwood and new recruit Teddy Sharman-Lowe – clocked on for gym testing and a timed run.
It was a first day in the fold for summer signings Sam Dalby, Richard Taylor, Xavier Simons and Charlie Warren, with Eoin Toal, Aaron Morley and Will Forrester – who missed the run-in to last season through injury – among those returning to the track.

New Head of Goalkeeping, Owain Fôn Williams, began his work on the training ground as part of Schumacher’s re-shaped backroom staff, while B Team coach Andy Taylor also brought back his new-look squad – bolstered by the new professionals stepping up from the Youth Team ranks – to begin their pre-season preparations.
Wanderers will work on their fitness at Lostock over the next week-and-a-half before heading out to Spain for a week-long training camp in Marbella, which will end with a fixture against South African side Orlando Pirates.
Schumacher’s side will then return home to start their domestic pre-season programme ahead of the start of their League One challenge over the weekend 1-3 August.
Fixtures for the new EFL season will be released – along with the draw for the first round of the Carabao Cup and group stage of the Vertu Trophy – this coming Thursday.
