Bolton Wanderers is delighted to announce the signing of Amario Cozier-Duberry on a season-long loan from Brighton and Hove Albion.
The highly-rated winger’s arrival is the second in two days at the Toughsheet Community Stadium following the signing of Thierry Gale on Friday afternoon, as Wanderers look to bolster their options in attacking areas ahead of the new campaign.
Cozier-Duberry joined Arsenal’s academy as an Under-15 and impressed immensely as he worked his way through the pathway at the Gunners - with his eye-catching pace, his will to take on defenders and ability with the ball all vital parts of his game.
The 20-year-old made his competitive debut at just 16 years of age in the EFL Trophy when facing Swindon Town as part of Arsenal Under 21s side.
Two more appearances followed for Amario in the same competition the following season against Northampton Town and Stevenage - scoring in both games - whilst also helping Arsenal to reach the 2023 FA Youth Cup Final.
2023/24 proved to be a fruitful year for Amario with 13 goals and five assists in 24 appearances for Arsenal’s U21s, with his performances earning him a place in matchday squads at First Team level against Sevilla in the Champions League and Brentford in the Carabao Cup.
In search of game-time and experience, Cozier-Duberry joined Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2024 under new Head Coach, Fabian Hurzeler.
With the Seagulls’ pre-season under his belt, the winger joined Blackburn Rovers on loan as part of his development.
Amario made 23 appearances in all competitions at Ewood Park last season, scoring his first league goal at senior level in victory over Luton Town back in December 2024.
An England Youth international - capped at various age group up to the U20 level - Amario is tipped for a bright future and will look to continue his progression during his time with the Whites.

On signing for the club on loan, Amario Cozier-Duberry said: “I'm feeling good and I'm really happy to be here.
"There wasn't much of a decision for me to make because once I had spoken to Fergal and Steven, my mind was made up. The conversations were good and they spoke about how much they believe in me and had faith in me, and I want to show that on the pitch.
"The club has big ambitions, and I'm proud to be part of such a big club. I can't wait to get in, interact with the lads and get going."
Head Coach Steven Schumacher said: “Amario is another exciting signing for us and we are thrilled to welcome him to the Football Club.
“He arrives with huge amounts of potential and the staff and I are really looking forward to working with him and helping him to develop and grow as both a person and as a player.
“Having tracked him closely for a while, we know he is someone who loves to attack and have the ball at his feet - and like Thierry - offers us a profile of player that we have been looking for throughout this summer.
"With his previous experiences, especially playing in the Championship last season, we know he has the ability to succeed in a Bolton shirt. With our pre-season trip just around the corner, Amario arrives at the perfect time to easily bed into the playing group ahead of the upcoming campaign.”
Amario Cozier-Duberry is Wanderers’ seventh signing of the summer, and will join the First Team squad next week on the club’s pre-season trip to Marbella.
You can watch Amario's first interview following his arrival over on Wanderers TV later.
